At Madison Bistro on Madison Ave between 37th & 38th Streets,
we’ve found a $29 3-course prefix menu. The restaurant which
features French cuisine, has hosted dinners for the president of
France, amongst other distinguished guests.
For the first course choose from 5 appetizers including the
delicious asparagus vinaigrette. For the second course, choose
from 5 entrees including the poached atlantic salmon with lemon
confit, couscous, arugula and spicy sauce. For dessert you can
choose from profiterole, which is a pastry with chocolate
and vanilla ice served with a chocolate sauce.

Smith Street in Brooklyn, you’ll enjoy a cool atmosphere and
food to satisfy the most daring of “foodies.” For $26 per
person, Monday – Sunday, 12pm-12am, you can get their Royal Prefix
which includes:
For the first course choose from 2 appetizers including the
Spared Ribs glazed with honey BBQ sauce. Second course choose
from 2 entrees including orange crispy beef, which is marinated
filet of beef sauteed with orange sauce. Third course choose
from 3 desserts hot chocolate souffle with vanilla lemon grass
icecream.

At Chelsea Bistro, located on 23rd Street between 8th & 9th
Aves, they are offering a $29.50 prefix menu from 5 to closing.
The three course meal includes:
For the first course choose from 5 appetizers. I chose the
chopped salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, apples, and orange
segments, fresh goat cheese and lemon vinagrette. For the second
course, choose from 6 entrees. I choose the hanger steak with
red wine sauce and a side of French fries and caramelized onions
with thyme. (NY Magazine says they have the best French fries).
And for the last course choose from 2 desserts. I chose the
peche melba which is a poached peach in vanilla syrup, fresh
whipped cream and fresh vanilla ice cream.
